The Beginning of Something Great

So about a week or two ago, I was approached by Graeme Zirk from the Carillon. They were curious to know if I were to be willing to contribute to the Universities paper. To be more specific, if I would be willing to help contribute some portraits of the writers as they plan on redesigning the Carillon. Skeptical at first, I decided to go along with it anyway.
After the fall out with the art show idea for my arts aesthetics class, I thought this project for portraits for the school paper could be the perfect replacement. It would also give me the motivation for me to actually participate in the project, and not just chicken out. It's perfect because I've never worked with any news paper, and I've never gotten any of my work published, allowing for new experiences and possibilities.
Now to begin: I have to find out who everyone is. Gather photos or some sort of material I can use as a resource for my creation. Then... start drawing! I think it's going to be fun, considering all I did last semester was write essays, I didn't have a second to contribute to my sketch book. I'm looking forward to this challenge and hopefully, I can come out a winner!
